Roel Fung-A-Wing, Director
Roel strongly believes in Divine guidance. He likes to serve and helping others heal gives him great satisfaction. His goal is to bring his patients back to their previous level of functioning.
He studied and trained in the Netherlands, where he specialized in NDT (neuro-developmental treatment), post-surgical therapy, sports injuries. Together with a Dutch OB/GYN, he developed a special prenatal program for expectant mothers and trained other physical therapists to use the techniques in their practice. In addition, he lectured at the Haarlem Academy for Physical Therapy (The Netherlands) and was a clinical instructor for many years. He holds a sports medicine certificate from the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Roel has worked in both the Netherlands and Suriname (South America) in rehab and general hospital facilities. After moving to the U.S.A. he also worked in outpatient clinics, home health and general hospital settings, and eventually decided to establish his own private practice in Marietta, Georgia. He fluently speaks Dutch and English, and proficiently speaks German.
Roël regularly participates in local community outreach and church charity events as a way of giving back to the community. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Georgia Chapter of the APTA and the Marietta Metro Rotary Club.
